Director's Message

Nature has bestowed Pakistan with immense ocean resources and fairly long coastline astride one of the most important geo strategic positions in the world. However, we as a nation have been very inopportune to develop and harness the gifted maritime potential and location to advantage. Maritime knowledge, awareness and superiority are the keys, which open most, if not all, the doors to wealth, success and prosperity.

This would not happen without requisite maritime acquaintance, zest to conquer oceans and most importantly the maritime education, technology and research institutes.

Since its inception in January 2007, National Centre for Maritime Policy Research is endeavoring for propelling the maritime sector in Pakistan by provision of awareness, education and technological solutions in the maritime domain.

It is hoped that the centre will not only provide awareness to the general public on maritime affairs but will also be a platform for the accumulation and dissemination of the much needed research material pertaining to the maritime sector.
