Capt. Aftab Siddiqi, Executive Director Commercial of PNSC is a Master Mariner by profession and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Transport and logistic, London. He is also a member of Nautical Institute, London & Master Mariner Society of Pakistan.

He is a hardcore shipping man with almost 41 years of rich experience in the field. Having worked in various capacities that include initial 12 years at Sea during which time he commanded ocean going ships for about 2 years. Out of the remaining 31 years in office he has held various prestigious positions. He has been posted in LONDON for almost 5 years as owner’s representative supervising PNSC’s European operations. LONDON being the heart of shipping world. Capt. Aftab gained in depth knowledge of International Shipping Markets. Having worked in various departments of the Corporation, he has now been heading the Commercial department for last 16 years. Capt Aftab has gained tremendous experience and knowledge not only about shipping industry in general but also carries with him the historical knowledge about PNSC from its former NSC days through to Nationalization of Private shipping companies in 1974 and its subsequent merger with NSC to form the present PNSC.

Capt. Aftab has comprehensive knowledge of Freight Conference. He has been the Chairman of the KARMOHAM Conference (India-Pakistan-Bangladesh-Ceylon Conference) from 1996 to 2008. Members included such prestigious names like Maersk, Happag Lloyds, UASC, SCI, Evergreen, Andrew weir etc.
